  • Great Amp. Theres no way you can find an amp as good as this, for this cheap. nice crossovers, 2 ohm stable, very good, solid amp. Looks nice too.

  • You would be hard pressed to find a better amp for the money. This workhorse kicks like a mad girlfriend and sounds like a live concert hall. The crossovers are sensitive and accurate, the wire connections are top of the line with allen sets unlike several other high end brands which use inferior hardware. I was a hardcore JBL fan only, but now love both JBL and Hifonics. There is better hardware on the market, but nothing under $1000.00 will outperform the Z8000 bar none.

  • haven't hooked it up yet. So my product ratings are median, except for product features rating. Just wanted to let shoppers know that it doesn't come equipped with the remote bass control as is advertised. It's a screw up on HiFonics' part, not the web site. What can I say,... I'm a sucker; false advertising got me.

  • Wouldn't recommend it. The amp takes a few minutes to turn on in the morning, but once it gets going it gets hot and clips out. I know the price looks good, but if you want something that will work, don't go for this. I'm afraid to turn it up for fear of blowing it!

  • simply one of the best amps out there, especially for the money. it puts out more power than what it is rated and all of it is clean. the crossovers are sensitive enough for the slightest fine tuning for sound and this amp could be used in many ways. the amp does get hot however but it hasn't shut it self down yet. And in 110 degrees of heat and 5 hours of nonstop music blasting, that is saying a lot. this amp is comparable to the so called "high end" amps in which i noticed no difference at all and outperformed others. the only lacking feature is that the zx 8000 should have a line out. all of the connections are superb with the allen type format and makes a great clean and excellent connection. I would recommend this amp to anyone.

  • This is an excellent amp for the price. I, too was misled by the bass control, but that's Hifonics problem, not this website's. This amp is running my entire system flawlessly, relentlessly pounding out the low notes while reproducing the highs perfectly with imperceptible distortion. With the signal processing and crossover funtions of my head unit and the ZX8000 working together seamlessly, I can finally retire my old Audio Control EQX, circa 1990. Props to Onlinecarstereo and Hifonics

  • This AMP rocks. I have it running two 6x9's rear, two 4x6's front, and two 10" subs on the 5th channel @ 2 ohms. It rocks hard. The sound quality is great. ITs nice to have only one amp that can control front and rear fading left and right balance plus run two subs. I would have to say that to do any better would cost about $1000 more. I would recomend this amp to anyone looking for a great system with only one amp.

  • ZX8000 is a good amp for power of two 6x9, two 6x 1/2, and one 8 inch woofer all are fosgates and i think it hits hard and cleandoes get hot but hasnot shut down.

  • This amp is great. I have it running some very nice coaxials (near oxymoron) by Diamond, and besides less than perfect imaging as a resulty of shitty door locations up front, the speakers play amazing across their entire spectrum, and don't seem to struggle and reach out of their crossed over range. I previously had a set of RF Fanatic Q 6.5 in kick panels, running off of a legendary PPI pro mos 450 in a different car, and hate saying this, but am much more pleased by the warmth and quality of music afforded by the lesser set up I run now... All of the accolades I credit to the amp. I know what I am talking about, and it is that good. Overall is a nine, because it does not feature the fifth channel remote level control, other than that this amp allows for a great sounding flexible amp at the price of a garbage 3000 watt powerakoustik piece of .

  • I was skeptical at first. The numbers and the price seemed to good to be true, so I bought one. Have an Alpine F340 hooked them both up couldn't tell the difference. People are very much brand oriented when it comes to stereo equipment but sometimes buy and "off brand" is worth a gamble. Both Hifonics and Alpine are manufactured in CHINA and "designed" in USA. So with Alpine you are paying a premium price for Chinese made AMP. I have heard a lot of amps in my day and this one is a definite value. Clean, lots of power, good sound stage, no heat issues as of yet, lots of options, and it looks pretty cool too.

  • I Have Hifonics series 7 in my Saab so i thought i'd use this in my van...Boy was i surprised at the sound quality. driving Polk separates in front with 6 inch orion mid/woofers in rear with 2 12inch kicker subs @ 2ohms. Gets hot but does not shut down....excellent value, especially with built in X-overs.
