  • I have this sub in a large ported box in my trunkis running off the sub channel of my phoenixgold octane 5 ch. amp. This sub pounds on only about 300 watts. I am very impressed as it plays all types of music very well. For this price you cant go wrong!

  • I got this in a Qlogic sealed 1ft^3 and once you get it broken in, it is super-quick, double-bass is no problem. Dont give it over 300 or it loses a hint of magic, but at about 250, I can impress my buddies with 2 400 watt 12's.

  • I have 2 of these w/a 300watt RMS amp to each. Sound quality is very good, but these speakers cannot take 300W RMS, they bottom out at about 60% gain and 3/4 volume.

  • these subs are nice in my civic. they hit hard in small compact cars, but not in big cars. my friend has the same subs in a explorer and you cant feel them near as good as you would in a small car.

  • I previously owned two alpine type e tens. They did nothing in my monte carlo.(hooked up to a pioneer 760watt amp). I got an s and wow.......my whole car shakes. I had to get rid of my dual subs 12s 1100 watts max. My head was starting too hurt too much. But the type s is just perfect. It is clean and loud and i have yet to break it in. I can't wait to add another.

  • Great sub for the price, pretty good SQ and hits notes pretty accurately until you get to the pretty low notes. Very nice, smooth sound in a sealed box.
