  • I originally had a Pioneer CD-player, but it and my entire sound system was stolen in Cali. Had to get a Kenwood HU, as that was the cheapest, somewhat good model. I'm remembering very quickly just how great Pioneer head-units are, and this is the lowest price for the DEH-P3800MP model. There's so many features, that I'll probably be fine tuning forever just because I can. I'm most impressed by the inclusion of the EQ curve adjustments, and the pre-amp sub-outs. There's no need for a more expensive Pioneer HU.

  • I previously purchased the more expensive counterpart to this unit but when I wanted to install a new unit in my motorhome, I bought this. Awesome, and paired with Alpine speakers, also purchased from Online, it has made for incredible sound!

  • i have this head unit in my 93 dodge spirit. pioneer is the only way to go when it comes down to it. not only can you change the way your speakers sound by pressing the EQ button, but if you hold down the audio button, you have even more ways to change the way your speakers sound. i have 4 fosgate t1 door speakers playing off it and i couldnt be any more happy. the high pass filter is great. im running 2 alpine type e's and the whole set up is nice thanks to the deck. im pretty much pioneer for life when it come to the head units

  • This deck is great! The sound quality, features all of that. I didnt purchase it from ocs, but they do have the best price that ive seen, the only thing is i dont see a big difference between this deck and the two higher pioneer decks, the 4800 and 5800, besides a slightly bigger display and an extra set of inputs. I would highly recommend this deck to anyone. I paired it up with some kenwood door speakers, 2 mtx 8'' subs and a kenwood amp with a 2 farad cap and it sounds amazing

  • This is great, I bought this and the sound quality was noticeable different. I have a 97 Oldsmobile Cutlass and just had the crappy factory tape/radio player and the sound was terrible. When i put that in oh man what a difference. I dont have any speakers subs or amps yet, but I will be shortly, this site has GREAT deals.

  • If you are looking to hear some clear crystal sound, use this head unit with an amp. It has 3 amp outs, hook an amp up for the sub, and for your speakers. These head units are usually pumping anywhere from 17w-22w rms, dont be fooled by Max. I made a mistake by buying a Sony CDX-GT310, which pumps 17w rms, but said 52w x 4, but pumps 17w x 4, and when you crank it you get distortion, no matter how many watts your speakers are. And my player only has 1 sub amp out, so I can only hook up a sub to it. Invest some more money and hook up an amp to your speakers and another amp to a sub, even if you are tight on money, you have the amp outs to do it in time. Use the head unit as a cd player, not its built in amp. I'm returning my head unit and plan to get this shortly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

  • Excellent - will blow your OEM stereo away! I'm not an audiophile so I can't discuss all the details but the amount of finessing one can do to the audio is amazing. It's better than my bazillion dollar component stereo I have in my house! It's intuitive to use - this is extremely important. I never knew there were so many radio stations around since purchasing this unit. The ability to pick up stations is extraordinary. The remote is really cool to have too. For $119.00 or so, you CAN'T go wrong - extrodinary sound and the ability to control and exact the various qualities to your taste is amazing. Couldn't be more pleased and the detachable faceplate is a real perk!
