Product Reviews For Pioneer Premier DEH-P590IB

  • Well i decided to be the guinea pig for this head unit. I bought it mainly so i could hook up my ipod to it and because it had 3 preamp outputs so i can hookup and amp. First of all let me say i was blown away by how ipod friendly it was. It included a 6ft long ipod interface cable, so i was able to put my ipod in my glove box. There is a 3 line display and to navigate the ipod menu, you turn the knob to go up and down and push it in to select. Once a song is playing you tap it to the side to go to the next track. I was also blown away by the built in equalizer. It has several different presets as well as a customizable band. You can customize what frequency range you want to be the loudest... it think you can adjust about 7 different frequencies. It is very user friendly, but the only two complaints that i have is that you cant simply go back in the ipod menu... you have to go all the way back to the main menu where the artist/playlist/album is. It also beeps loudly three times everytime you turn your car off.

  • Easily the best deck i have ever bought. it gives you 99% control of your system, especially with the built in eq. it has a sub woofer button for great control of how hard you want your bass to pump. overall a great buy, but i bought mine for $250.00 but an audio store by me. And honestly i would pay $250.00 again, but you cant beat this ocs price any where. also i would recommend get the clarion eq... best eq out there for the price, exp since u can get it here for $50... together you have 100% control of your system, and the "deck" "EQ" combo looks great on the inside of your car.(they both glow neon blue looks good)

  • This is a great head unit!! Bad news first, I agree that one flaw is that you cant simply go back in the iPod menu, it sucks having to go all the way back to the main menu. Other than that it is totally compatible with your iPod. You can totally change the sound of your system through the EQ. Kinda hard to figure it all out at first, but after you get it its easy to get the best sounds. Huge improvement from stock stereo, and plus it looks sweet with the blue lights.

  • Great head unit, as all Premiers are. Lots of adjustability and features. My 2nd Premier and I love this one as much as the 1st 10 years ago. Only con for me is it's blue lit and my truck dash is green. I think all deacks should be red/blue/green switchable. Has lots of nice screens to fit most people's taste, from moving to satationary. Of course sound quality is great as well.

  • This is one of the best head units i have ever heard. I install car audio products for a living, I love this head unit. You can cut all of the bass out of your speakers, and send it to the subs.(Full variable crossovers)Love them.
