I've always liked Kenwood so when I got my '03 Ford Focus 4-door hachback it only made sense to use Kenwood products when I desided to install a system in it.well after checking out their product line I mounted 4 KFC-P680C 2-way plate speakers in both doors and run them off a Excelon KAC-X40 800-watt 4-channel amp.and I can't have been more pleased with my choses.these speakers kick *** big time.Run them from 60hz up with 12-octave slope filters and they rock all night long.Country,rock,rap/hip-hop and pop they make all stiles sound good.True you need a subwoofer(or 2)to handle the real heavy bass but uther then that all you need is these speakers(and your girlfriend) to have a good time in your car.
Install these in a 2000 Ford Focus Wagons front speakers. They are running off the stock head unit. With no amp. Highs are great! Mids are great! Not as much bass as I wanted. Although what I found is the bass is clean. Not busy like stock speakers. All around I am happy.
I was initially impressed with these speakers. I was updating my factory system in my 2013 F-150 stx regular cab and decided on these speakers. I have bought Kenwood speakers for years and have had the best of luck with them, until now. About a month after install I started noticing a rattle from the right door, I took the panel back off and still heard it. I determined the rattle was coming from the speaker and it's not consistent at all. It does it when ever it wants to and I can't see or feel anything wrong with the sub. Very annoying to say the least because it's not subtle at all. One song is fine and the next is like nails on a chalk board. I'm thinking about replacing them with Infinity's. I spend two hours a day five days a week in my truck.
