I was talked into getting the sm1-1000 to push two pioneer shallow mount subs(10) and I'm very happy with the sound quality from this amp some may say they have lost it but for the average joe it sounds d_mn good!
I have pushed this amp to the limit. I have had this thing running 4 12 inch pioneers, before those i had 2 alpine type S 12s, and before that 4 rockford fosgate 10s. I would recommend using an Audiocontrol epicenter and you are good to go. Just make sure that if you are down to 1ohm you set the gain as low as you can, because it does get hot if playing it all day.
This is a pretty good amp for the price. Very well built and looks nice as the "autotek" lights up blue. The only problem with this amp is thta it gets HOT HOT HOT when playing at one ohm for long periods of time. I even had a guy back out from buying it from me because it got so hot even after like 10 minutes of playing it. I woujld recommend this amp for a dual 4 ohm sub and run it at 2 ohms to be safe.
I have 1 Of these Running 2 JL Audio W 6s and i have no problem with it at all and im running them at 1ohm.
