Product Reviews For Crunch GPV2000.1D

  • One of the most visually appealing amps that I have owned. Please not that you have to divide the power ratings in half as these are rated by dynamic output vs. the true RMS output of the amp. Running 2 12"Hifonics HFi12D4s with it at 14.2volts and its pushing amazing clean power. Excellent amp for the money and I would definitely buy again.

  • Dave, your gain is not a volume. You blew your subs from from not knowing what you were doing.

  • This amp really isnt worth buying unless you only use it on one sub at 1ohm it doesnt put out that much power i had a rockford amp p325.1 which hit harder on my 2 15" and it was only 325 watts and i was running it at 2ohms it looks cool but thats about it

  • For the money, these amps POUND! I have four(4) of these, one for each GP15D2. I made a wall to Maxxsonics specs and let me tell you, Crunch stands up to the BIG BOYS. I've beat Orion setups, Rockford, Alpine, Kicker, Diamond, RE Audio, SPL, Sony, MA, Memphis, Hertz, ect. Dont let the cheap price fool you, your NOT PAYING RETAIL. A friend of mine heard what they could do with the new 2009 USACI Comp CD at 45HZ. It messed up his left ear and he had to go see a ear nose and throad specialist over it. If you get it, make sure you know what the hell your doing with it before you install it and DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!!

  • I connected it to a FI SSD12" sub and it will over heat in about an hour. I purchase 2/12 VDC mini-fans from RadioShack, and the amp will shutdown in about 1.5 to 2 hours after some serious noise pollution (it takes about 10 mins with fans on to reset). Of course, I have this amp installed in the trunk of a Mazda Speed3 hatchback which probably does not help. Winter months and night time temperatures causes no problems with amp over heating. The FI subwoofer sits @ .75ohms in Parallel config... the amp specs shows N/A for bridged configs, but that remote indicator beats bright red with volume turned up. Anyone else notice this?

  • I bought this amp for three infinity 1250w and it worked great. I would expect about 1100-1300 watts rms from this amp. I called maxxonics and they said the quality of this amp is equal or exceeds the hifonics brutus series. The small bass knob and lights are a plus too! This is the BEST budget amp i have come across. If you have some money and want really great quality sound go with sundown, RF power, or kicker

  • I have two of these amps. I have each set at 1 ohm on a Crunch GPV 15D2. It flippin POUNDS. Don't listen to people bad mouthing them. Make sure you get at least a 100 amp alt and some good 4 guage wire. You do not bridge MONO amps so if you wire a duel 2 ohm sub in paralell it will be 1 ohm even after you hook it up to the amp.

  • Fella's. Don't spend your hard earned $ on those expensive amps. This amp kicks ***. And if your car gets jacked, you won't be heart broken. Done this a long time. Trust me. Also have the GPV1600.4 pushing BA comps and 6.5's crossed over. Loud, clean, and painful at half gain. Buy them.
