now, the reason i give this item such a good score isn't because it is a comp amp, but rather because of price-quality/quantity output. i was sceptical at first that an $85 amp would even produce 3-400 watts, but this amp will put out atleast 700 watts into a 2Ohm load. for less than 100dollars! shipped!!! who would've known? so i bought this amp for a 12'' no-name brand sub. the sub itself -was- of remarkable quality, and was in need of quite a bit of -cheap- power. this was the right answer. i had it installed in less than two hours, and even before the sub was totally broken in, i was impressed beyond belief of what this lil cheapie could, and can do at 2ohms. i get chest thumping bass and very low distortion. i can get ~112 db's around the top level. great stuff!
