The best Alpine ever made.. ever! Buy it youll love it! plenty of power music settings.
While I have been a fan of Alpine in the past this one does not meet expectations. In fact it is the worst head unit I have used in the last 10 years. I went from a Pioneer NEX-1400 to this and it was a massive downgrade. Immediately after installing the speakers pop when I shut off the ignition. Following that the CarPlay screen looked washed out having no contrast. It looks 10 years old. Then, on a 1300 mile trip, my brand new iPhone 13 was an "incompatible device" almost half of the trip when I really needed CarPlay Maps. And to top it off, the radio randomly turns on. It happened 6 times in 2 hours yesterday while I was using CarPlay. I don't listen to the radio so it's just static. I mute it and after a phone call or looking at a text, the radio unmutes itself. I have never actively hated a head unit until now and spent 3 hours yesterday reinstalling the Pioneer which works flawlessly.
