Barely installed a day ago but I will write another one farther down the road. SOUMDSTREAM HAS HIT ME WITH ANOTHER BANGER! this thing is smoooooth. Interface Clean. Eq perfect. Radio straight forward(sounds like a cd). Bluetooth connection is stupid fast. I activate BT on my phone and it autoconnects in around 3 seconds. Power on time I'd guess 12 seconds. Dvd controls are extensive. Pick through all audio and subtitle languages pick scene selections. On DVD main menu you just click, there's no arrow keys to use ..unless you want them and there's a button for that too. Sound quality is crisp af. Setting are handy. Daytime night time screen dimming works, but it doesn't dim too much. Still bright on lowest setting. Build quality of both the screen/screen mount and double din are ridiculously nice. Onlinecarstereo is Awesome. Soundstream kills it everytime

For the money it's a great radio it was easy to install had pretty good directions. Love the size and functionality of the screen.
This screen's nice, and you can use it in any position you are most comfortable with. Sounds great, and its EQ is very responsive, which makes the speakers sound better. Works great for either iPhone or Android phone users like me.
Not that bad but not that amazing either. I can adjust the screen up and down w/c is nice and it brings out some nice audio quality too. However, it has limited controls, and mic’s volume is not that good too. But still a good receiver for its price, especially that it has Android Auto.
My wife bought this for me and it’s been pretty solid with one major exception. The Apple CarPlay stopped working with the newer 18 series update. I can plug in an older iPhone and it works fine. Soundstream has only told me to reset the head unit to factory settings and try connecting a phone to it again which did nothing other than revert my setting back to factory. The main idea of this head unit was so I could have a large navigation screen and I’m back to having to look at my phone…
Nice radio for the money, it was new in the box, looks pretty cool in the car. The only thing that I didn’t like is the single sub output. Other than that it’s good quality unit for the price.

recently installed the Soundstream VRCPAA-106F in my car, and overall I’m really impressed. Right out of the box, the 10.6-inch floating touchscreen display felt modern and much more user-friendly than the old stock stereo — the capacitive touchscreen responds smoothly and the larger display makes navigation, music selection, and camera view much easier while driving. ? One of the biggest pluses for me is the built-in support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto — with those, I can seamlessly use navigation apps, stream music from my phone, handle calls, and use voice commands, which makes driving much more convenient and safer. ? The head-unit’s built-in Bluetooth + AUX/USB/microSD support also means I can play music from almost any source, which adds to the flexibility. ? Audio-wise, the built-in amplifier is solid for everyday use — it delivers around 22 W RMS per channel (peak up to 75 W), and since there’s a 5-channel preamp output plus a 10-band EQ, I had enough control to tune the system to my liking. ? For my setup (standard car speakers, no external amp), the sound was clear and loud enough for daily driving and music listening. ? Installation was straightforward in my car (2-DIN chassis fits well), and the UI feels intuitive once you get used to it — switching between CarPlay/Android Auto, radio, USB / SD playback, or DVD is easy. ? If I had to pick a downside — the built-in amplifier does what it needs to, but if you’re building a high-power audio system with aftermarket speakers or subwoofers you might want an external amp to get the most out of it. Verdict: I think the VRCPAA-106F is a great value “all-in-one” head unit for someone looking to upgrade from a stock stereo: nice large screen, modern smartphone integration (CarPlay/Android Auto), plenty of media options, and decent onboard audio flexibility. I’d definitely recommend it to someone who wants a big touchscreen + smartphone connectivity without spending too much on a full aftermarket audio overhaul.
