The best speaker if you have the cash. Can handle very well. Speaker breathes better in custom boxes. Not recommended with cheap boxes. I used this with the mono ti 800.1 amp. This is only 1000w, but it handles well even with that small amount of watts. I would suggest getting the ti 1200.1 amp. Phoenix gold is the way to go.

You better build a good box for this thing! because if you don't it will sound like #@$*, hit's really low and sq is top notch
Its the best woofer i have ever ownedblasts all my friends systems,in fact it makes them sound crap(and im talking about kickers,jl,Diamond,Digital Design,Genisis). Its very loud and ultra clear basscan be heard few blocks away. Its simply a MONSTERwoofer on earth.Overall better than JL 13W7.
I have 3 of these in an '87 Mercury Capri Hatchback and, they thump! I have them runnin' of of 3 individual Hi-fonics BX-1605d mono amps. These speakers are in a bandpass box in the hatch area of my car and about 3 days after I got them, I had to replace my back glass, it exploded when I was driving down the road.
I have this sub in a custom made 1" mdf, 2.5 cubic ft. ported box. Holy man does this thing play Looow. I mean im listening to stuff that is from 98, and it sounds like im hearing it for the first time. It sounds so different its incredible,this is how bass is supposed to sound (listen to Hail Mary - Pac and you'll know what im rambling about)This sub is in a class of its own, almost 4 years old and I still havent seen a sub of this calibur. Overbuilt and engineered in every way this thing is a freakin monster. If you can afford it, buy it you will not be dissapointed in any way.

Man i absolutely love this subwoofer so many features and power :) I will most definitly crush my brother's Type-X alpine sub. The great part about this woofer is that it sounds like my Nakamichi subwoofer ,but with more power and bang. so i gets tons of SQ as well as SPL :) Just make sure you have a strong electrical system and amp to back this thing up because it will drink up alot of power.
