this product will have better sound then the JL audio w7 I hive install almost all there products I think that mtx is the best in sound and quality.
This sub hits pretty darn hard... that's about it. The SQ is semi-decent and spl is pretty high. If you can get one for a good price, then go for it. Otherwise, save your money.
i have 2 of these woffers with 2 7801 and they hit very load and clean.MTX hit a home run with me. I spent over 14,000 on a all mtx and kenwood system in 06 accord looking for spl and got great sound also. If you have money it well spent on mtx.
I use to have this subwoofer. The best subwoofer i ever had in my life. I currently have 2 kicker L7s and 2 JL 750/1 HD amps. Im thinking of replacing 2 of my L7s for two 9500s, cause i blew one of the subs i have now. But its hard to find the right box that would just fit in my dakota.
Awesome sub. Head rattling with some nausea involved. One of the hardest hitting subs. I pushed this sub with an MTX942 bridged. OMG. BOOM BOOM. I call it my rustproofing system.
im actually running this sub in an home audio install , its in a sealed box to speck . Im running 6000 watts rms into it ! this sub sounds very clean the bass is very loud strond expecially under 80 hrs . this sub is better then a 6 thousdand dollar home audio sub belive it or not !!
this sub is just loud that's it!!! sure it can be heard a block away or maybe further with the right setup..but i personally like the w7 12" more.. i owned the mtx 9500 and my friend owned the w7. my sub is louder due to it being like 3 times more powerfull when it comes to wattage but when he cranks his system.. oh boyy.. the w7 gives out heart stopping bass.. those of you thats like me that love lowww bass / heart crushing bass go with the w7 series. if you want to be louder than all your friends and dont really care about quality go with mtx 95 series.
