Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • What amplifier should I use with this subwoofer?
Choose a mono amplifier with an RMS output close to the subwoofer's continuous power rating. Proper amplifier matching delivers cleaner bass and improves reliability.
- • Is a sealed or ported enclosure the better option?
Both enclosure types work well when built to the recommended specifications. Sealed boxes provide tighter bass, while ported enclosures produce greater output and deeper low frequencies.
- • Why doesn't my subwoofer produce enough bass?
Weak bass is commonly caused by incorrect enclosure volume, poor amplifier tuning, or reversed polarity. Verifying these settings usually results in a noticeable improvement.
- • Can I connect two subwoofers to one amplifier?
Yes, as long as the final impedance matches the amplifier's supported load. Always follow the recommended wiring configuration for safe operation.
- • Why does the bass distort at high volume?
Distortion is typically caused by amplifier clipping or excessive gain settings. Proper tuning helps maintain clean bass while protecting the subwoofer.
- • Does this subwoofer require a break-in period?
Many owners recommend several hours of moderate playback before using full power. This allows the suspension to loosen naturally for more consistent bass response.
- •Why is my subwoofer vibrating the enclosure?
Loose mounting screws, insufficient enclosure bracing, or air leaks are common causes of unwanted vibrations. Tightening the hardware and sealing the enclosure usually eliminates the noise.
- • Can this subwoofer be installed in a compact enclosure?
Yes, if the enclosure follows the recommended internal volume and mounting specifications. Building the correct enclosure is essential for achieving the best bass performance.
- • Why does the subwoofer get hot after long listening sessions?
Some heat is normal when the speaker is handling continuous power. Excessive heat may indicate overpowering or improper amplifier gain adjustment.
- • Can this subwoofer handle different music genres?
Yes, it performs well with everything from rock and country to hip-hop and electronic music. Proper enclosure design and amplifier tuning help deliver balanced, powerful bass across all genres.

Been running a pair of it with a JL Audio amp in my XLT for more than two months now, and I'm really happy with its performance. these subs are pretty affordable

I bought these at two ohm for replacing the ones out of the Memphis Audio sub box, they fit very well and flush, they are performing very good,to get deep bass u have to wire it at two or one ohms whatever your amplifier is capable of.
