- • Why does the MT-F65K lose bass when installed in a different enclosure?
A 6.5-inch speaker's low-frequency response is strongly affected by the enclosure it is installed in. An enclosure with unsuitable volume or air leakage can make the speaker sound noticeably thinner.
- • What causes a faint scraping noise from the speaker?
A scraping sound can indicate physical contact involving the cone or voice coil, but loose debris or installation hardware can also create unusual noises. Stop high-volume testing and inspect the speaker before continuing.
- • Why does the speaker sound fine on one amplifier but poor on another?
Different amplifiers can have different output levels, gain structures, crossover behavior, and signal quality. Compare the settings and ensure the MT-F65K is receiving clean power at an appropriate impedance.
