Designed to Provide Sound to the Passengers
SSV Works custom molded Cage Mount Pods are designed for 6.5″ speakers and can be used when you need more sound in your Side by Side. Unlike wakeboard towers, our mini pods are designed to provide sound to the passengers without blocking visibility. They are finished in a black texture and is stylized to match factory interior textures and can be custom painted to match your color scheme. Brand-new redesigned dual clamping system allows you 360-degree rotation while on the cage. Unlike other cage pods where you need to find its position before the clamp goes on.

- • Why does the pod feel loose even after tightening the clamps?
Check that the cage tubing is actually 1.85 inches and that both sides of the dual-clamp system are seated evenly. An incorrect tube diameter can prevent the pod from clamping securely.
- • Why does the speaker angle change after riding on rough trails?
Repeated vibration can gradually expose insufficient clamp tension. Set the desired 360° position, tighten both clamp sections evenly, and recheck the hardware after the first few rides.
- • Why does the Kicker KM8 sound weak when connected to a factory radio?
The 8-inch Kicker speaker is rated around 65W RMS and 195W peak, so a low-powered factory source may not provide enough clean power to take advantage of its output capability.
- • Why does the pod vibrate when playing heavy bass?
The larger 8-inch driver can transfer substantial vibration into the cage. Check the clamp hardware, speaker mounting screws, and any nearby cage or body panels for resonance.
- • What should I check if one speaker suddenly becomes quieter?
Inspect the speaker connector and wiring first, then check the amplifier channel and balance settings. A loose connection can reduce output without completely disconnecting the speaker.
- • Why does the sound become distorted when the volume is increased?
Clipping from the amplifier or excessive bass boost can cause distortion before the speaker reaches its rated capability. Lower the gain and EQ boost, then increase the volume gradually.

The noise may actually come from the cage, clamp, grille, mounting hardware, or nearby trim resonating with the 8-inch speaker. Check the entire pod assembly before replacing the speaker.
- • What should I do if the audio cuts out after a hard impact?
Inspect the speaker wiring and connector for movement or strain, then check the amplifier's power and ground connections. The system is designed for off-road use, but repeated impacts can still expose a poorly secured connection.
