Kenwood's Excelon XM160-2 amplifier is designed to fit in a select 2014-up Harley-Davidson Road Glide®, Street Glide®, or Ultra motorcycle and power a couple of speakers with up to 80 watts RMS each. Kenwood optimized this 2-channel amp to match low-impedance, 2-ohm speakers like Harley-Davidson's factory speakers and Kenwood's Excelon XM motorsports aftermarket speakers.
The XM160-2 comes with power, speaker, and input wiring harnesses, as well as mounting plates, all customized to fit in your particular Harley, making installation both straight-forward and pleasantly uncomplicated. The amp uses speaker-level inputs pre-matched and balanced for Harley-Davidson factory radios and almost any other aftermarket receiver or source unit. An input sensitivity control fine-tunes the level for minimum distortion.
There are no onboard tone, EQ, or crossover controls on this amp — your system's head unit will take care of that kind of signal processing. This amp's one job is to produce power — and you'll know it when you hear your music playing loud and clear as you roll down the road.
