- • Will these tweeters fit a Polaris Ranger with a Pro-Fit cage?
Not necessarily. SSV Works specifically notes that the tweeters do not directly fit Pro-Fit-style roll cages, so cage style should be confirmed before purchase.
- • Can the tweeters connect directly to my existing SSV Works speakers?
Yes. The included Y-harness is designed to connect the tweeters to compatible SSV Works speaker wiring without requiring a complete rewiring of the audio system.
- • Why are the high frequencies much more noticeable after installation?
The 25mm silk-dome tweeters are specifically intended to add high-frequency detail, covering approximately 1.5 kHz–20 kHz. If the highs become too aggressive, check the source EQ and overall system tuning.
- • What if the included cage clamp does not match my roll-bar tubing?
The kit is designed around several common cage sizes, including 1.5", 1.75", 1.85", and 2" tubing. Measure the actual tubing before installation because an incompatible cage profile can prevent a secure fit.
- • Why does the tweeter pod move after riding on rough trails?
If the pod shifts, check that the correct clamp size is being used and that the mounting hardware is firmly tightened. Repeated off-road vibration makes secure cage clamping especially important.
- • Can I use the RGB ring without installing an RGB controller?
Yes. SSV Works states that the RGB connection can be left unused, connected to a compatible controller, or hardwired for a constant color.
- • Why is one tweeter louder than the other?
Check the Y-harness connections, source balance settings, and amplifier channels first. A partially seated connector can create an apparent difference between the two tweeters.
- • Can I install these on a custom audio system instead of SSV Works equipment?
Yes. SSV Works describes the pods as compatible with custom audio systems, with the audio connections able to be adapted by splicing into the appropriate speaker wiring.
- • Why do I hear distortion from the tweeters at high volume?
Excessive amplifier gain, aggressive treble EQ, or an overloaded signal can make high frequencies sound harsh. The built-in crossover is designed to limit the frequencies sent to the tweeter, but system-level tuning still matters.
- • What should I check if the tweeter stops working after a wet or muddy ride?
Inspect the connectors and harness for moisture, dirt, or a loose connection. The pods are designed for off-road conditions, but keeping electrical connections secure and clean is still important for reliable operation.
