Well, what can I say? Even while being manufactured in China, Boston has done it again. I bought 3 sets of these. 2 for my civic and 1 for the wife's car. Talk about bang for the buck. I'm usually not impressed with any coax speakers. Matter of fact the last ones to impress me were some very old 4" mb quart reference series. Well these made the cut. I was skeptical about pairing these with my aging but still sweet JL audio 12W6v1's. My mistake. These are very well balanced and open sounding. The tweeter images well even from my doors. These are the most dramatic improvement yet. Of course pitting them against my honda plastic factory speakers is hardly fair. The improvement these made in my wife's car along with some s45 against the audiobahn 3 way component set she had are also VAST! The audiobahns always sounded tinny. The highs were misplaced, the mids non existent, and the midbass wasn't there at all. Overall the comparison is Rolex to Timex and for Pulsar prices. I can't recommend these enough.

Great sound quality. This is an incredible deal for sound quality that allows listeners to hear the real sound of the music. The precision in the sound steals Diamond Audio's motto of 'hearing as the artist intended'. For the price, they can't be beat and I've made the mistake of spending more on worse speakers. Can't go wrong with boston. Also, for the price, Boston G1 subs are a great choice with sound on a budget. HOWEVER: Before you buy these, make sure they'll fit in the door without special bracketing, measure it out before purchasing if you're doing it yourself. It caused an inconvenient surprise in my '96 Tahoe's front speaker mounts, it's doable just not worth the time if you've got a second choice that'll pop right in place. It's got an odd mounting diameter that gradually leads to the edges of the bottom of the dust-cap and will likely cause it to be too wide. Have it installed by pros if it normally would take you over an hour to change the speakers, it may be untested waters that would handled correctly by a trained employee.
Man do these speakers know how to hit. Great sound at a great value! I have these in my 09 Impala with an Alpine deck. My volume goes up to 35 and I only have to turn it up to 18. Very loud speakers. Highly recommended!
these are great speakers i have a jvc deck powering these in back and the s60's in front no amp.they crank.they also suprisingly produce good mid bass.the s 60's had to turn down the tweeter on x over but these 6.5 blend very well and sound great out of the box dont need to run 100watts rms to full range speakers.these sound great straight off a high powered aftermarket deck and get loud. I like full clean sound not over heavy bass or highs.with a single 8" g1 sub in the back powered by a cerwin vega stealth sx220.2 amp bridged this car sounds fantastic!well full bodied sound and very clean.
