Why Choose Rockford Fosgate TT2652-S Component System?
Built for Real Install Flexibility and Serious Tuning Control
Rockford Fosgate made this set flexible enough for real-world installs without giving up performance. The FlexFit mounting system gives you adjustment room so alignment is easier in different doors or panels. The advanced crossover network keeps everything balanced between woofer and tweeter, while bi-amp support lets you run dedicated channels for more control and cleaner output if you want to step your system up.
Clean, Controlled Sound That Hits Different
The Rockford Fosgate T2652-S is built for people who want clear, detailed audio that still has punch. The injection-molded carbon fiber-filled polypropylene woofer keeps everything rigid and consistent, so your mids stay clean even when you turn it up. Add in the rubber surround design and VAST technology, and you get smoother response, better output, and less distortion even when the system is pushed hard.
Tweeter Clarity That Cuts Through the Noise
This system does not just focus on midbass, it brings serious clarity up top too. The 1-inch aluminum dome tweeters deliver crisp, detailed highs with strong dispersion so the sound fills your cabin properly. You can fine-tune them too, with adjustable output levels and axis control that lets you shape the sound depending on where you mount them, whether on-axis or off-axis.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Why do the tweeters sound too bright?
The aluminum tweeters can sound forward in some vehicles. Try the crossover's tweeter setting, adjust the EQ, or change the tweeter aiming.
- • Why isn't the midbass as strong as expected?
Door installation and enclosure conditions greatly affect midbass. Proper mounting, sealing, and an appropriate high-pass setting can improve performance.
- • Do I need an amplifier for these speakers?
They can play from a factory radio, but amplification is recommended. Around 100 watts RMS per channel allows them to perform much better.
- • Why does the sound become strained at high volume?
Very low frequencies can make the woofers work harder than intended. Use an approximately 80 Hz high-pass filter and let a subwoofer handle deep bass.
- • Why isn't one tweeter producing sound?
Check the crossover connections, tweeter wiring, and terminals first. A defective tweeter or crossover can also cause one side to stop playing.
- • Why did a tweeter or woofer stop working after installation?
Clipping, incorrect gain settings, wiring faults, or excessive power can damage drivers. Check the amplifier settings and crossover wiring carefully.
- • Will these fit my factory 6.5-inch speaker openings?
Fitment varies by vehicle, and the larger basket may require modifications. The included adapter brackets help with some factory 5x7 and 6x8 locations.
- • Why does the sound change when I move the tweeter?
Tweeter direction strongly affects the high-frequency response. Aim them toward the listening position and adjust the crossover setting for your vehicle.
- • Can I bypass the included crossovers?
Yes, if you're running a properly configured active system. Otherwise, keep the passive crossovers connected to provide the intended frequency filtering.
- • Why do the speakers sound different after installation?
Door acoustics, speaker positioning, polarity, and crossover settings can change the response. An RTA tune can help balance the system after installation.
