The lightweight polypropylene cone is reinforced with strong carbon fibers so it'll keep its shape when you're pushing the speaker hard. You'll hear accurate reproduction of the lower and midrange frequencies, while the 1" aluminum dome tweeter makes the high frequencies sparkle. These speakers will handle up to 100 watts RMS so you should connect an external amplifier to get the most out of them.
Proprietary VAST™ technology increases the woofer's cone area without increasing the size of the basket. This larger cone gives you deeper lows and more power handling than the average 6"x9" speaker, and it's supported by a durable rubber surround that's designed to last. Rockford Fosgate mounts the tweeter on an offset suspension system, minimizing any acoustic reflections from the back of the tweeter and maximizing accuracy. Open slots on the frame make it easier to install these speakers if the factory holes are slightly off.

Just bought a set of these speakers today after blowing up my Punch P1693 speakers, and I must say that I should have bought these a long time ago! The sound quality and SPL are incredible, even compared to the P1693 and speakers from other major brands like Pioneer, Sony, JBL etc. They're not much more expansive that the P1693 and they're definitely worth considering when you're looking for a new set of 6x9s.
these things are bad a** i have a set in my little cavalier Z24 and they are by far the best speakers ive ever had.
These speakers are loud and clear, they even handle a little over a 100 rms!!! Great product
