We're not talking junk in the trunk, we're talking the same genuine Punch woofers available separately. Punch Loaded enclosures are constructed with durable 5/8" MDF and tuned by our computer aided design software. P3 Loaded Enclosures feature similar tonal performance as P2 & P1 models, but with higher power handling capacity.
The enclosure houses a Punch P3 12" sub, with a rigid anodized aluminum cone that holds its shape through heavy play, while staying light and responsive. The aluminum cone acts as a giant heat sink, and works alongside advanced cooling vents to direct heat away from the copper-clad aluminum voice coils. These innovative cooling techniques, plus a heavy-duty motor assembly, let this sub handle up to 600 watts RMS without flinching. The sub's dual voice coils are wired for a 1-ohm total impedance, so make sure your amp can power this enclosure safely.
Rugged 5/8" medium-density fiberboard construction means this enclosure will hold strong for fat, heavy bass. Industrial-grade black carpet provides a clean, finished look, and protects your trunk from nicks and scratches. The spring terminals will accept bare wire, pin connectors, or banana plugs. This enclosure uses an advanced port design that promotes generous air movement, while reducing distortion-causing port noise, so you hear louder, deeper bass. Add an amp and some wiring, and feel the thick low end this enclosure adds to your ride.
The sub hits very punchy and has a hard time hitting lows @ (800rms x 1 @ 1ohm) tuned at 50 hz ( I'm a certified installer btw) Not a bad product but would probably have gone with a 15 of better quality
I cannot tell you how much do I like this box. People get amazed when they hear the punch and then they realize that there is only one subwoofer in the trunk. It turn heads! Definitely recommended. Rockford did it again!
This box is awesome! I have it hooked up to a punch p500 and it sounds great! I checked with Rockford Fosgate to make sure they were a match and to make sure the p500 put out enough power and they said yes. They were right! I love my new setup! I would definitely buy this again!
Fills up that nice, deep bass amazingly. I don’t know if its because of the sub or the enclosure, but i’m totally impressed with the lows that’s coming out of the sub. Very happy with the purchase
