This is the best subwoofers I've ever owned. For the price you can't go wrong. They are loud and has very deep bass. I just need a bigger amp to see what they can really do. But overall I give the woofers a 5 star rating.
Let me first start out by saying best Sub I have ever owned. I bought it during the black Friday deal for a great deal. I have it in a custom truck Console built to Sub specs and vent ported makes my ears bleed. I have it wired to 1ohm to a Hifonics BRX2400.1D with 2 XS Power big batteries and the lows are better then 2 12's combined. When I was looking for one 12 for my setup I knew from hearing so much about these that this was it. Pick up one like I did or two if you can stomach it put it/them in the right box and WOW is what you will say.
One of the best sub that i have heard one of my friend has a jl w7 and when he heard it he was mad he paid over a 1000$ and i paid over a lil bit quarter of what he paid and it could do the same damage as the jl The thing is that there are other brands out there that are good as jl but people go after what other people see they dont go after what they hear. The hippo that i have is hook up to a 1000 rms kicker amp thats only half the power that i heard so far and wen i turn up the volume alarms trigger just imagen a 2000rms amp what it could really do trust me wen i say U WONT REGRET BUYING THE HIPPO

I only purchased one and I haven't even broken it in yet but I gotta say that this sub is beast! Got it hooked up to the N4 at 2 ohms and all I can say is I am in bass full bliss. Get the Hippo 122 and N4 combo.. will not be dissapointed!!!!
this sub is a monster! only putting 1700 rms to it and I feel sorry for my car. Easily over 120 dbs with a single 12 is awesome. Takes a bit to loosen up and break in but holy crap does this thing hit lows. And also, yes the lows are impressive but the overall sq is amazing. compared to alpines which hit mid bass and highs, this Hippo had the perfect blend. Not the ear ringing highs like alpine r or x but anything below 50hz this blows others subs away! For the price you cant go wrong. Out bump a w7 at only a fraction of the cost. It may not look that pretty and wiring it can more difficult without terminals on the sub but ill deal with that for the lower price!
Great Buy!!! August 14, 2013 I went from a single Kicker l7 15" to this single Hippo wired to 1 ohm in a 2 cubic ft reinforced baffle tuned to 32 hz and Boom!!! This thing hammers. Got a hifonics Brutus 2400 pushing it with a yellow top battery. Get one or two. You WILL NOT be disappointed.
These subs are huge. I have 2 of these beasts in a slot ported box at like 32hz. I got them powered to a power acoustik 6000 watt amp at 2 ohms. There getting only 1600 watts now and man let me tell you my hair moves, broke my rear-view mirror right off my windshield, and my ash tray falls and goes everywhere. I was nervous when getting these things but these are the best subs I've had. Looking too upgrade my amp to get the massive audio N4 amp. If you are thinking about getting these get them. I just wanted to get on here in review these to help out.
Love massive audio, amps don't do rated but subs and mids and highs are great. Alot more reliable and better than SoundQubed and American Bass. 2 of them in trunk in ported box, each one has their own power acoustik GT1-6000D. I had this sub 2 12' hippos in a probox inside a 2012 Toyota corolla facing frontwards and had 2 Hifonics BRX 2416 (I think) and a Kinetic 3500 and hit a 145.3 I also had a mechman 240 amp alternator. I was trying to do a 150 but no one really knows how to hook my system up right so it fried my electrical in my car and I took it out. Might put it back in with a db drive a7 3500 at 2 ohms...well see...awesome sub if you get it done right.
