Why Choose Kicker 47KEY2004 4-Channel Amplifier?
Signal Restoration
In the pursuit of getting the best sound possible from your stereo system that features both factory and aftermarket gear, KEYLOC’s patent-pending KEY™ algorithm automatically detects and analyzes crossovers, EQ, time delay, and all-pass filters present, and then it will level-match the left and right audio channels. Once analyzed, it corrects these various filters to give you the smoothest frequency response possible, giving you a clean, uncolored audio signal for your aftermarket gear.
Hear it Yourself
To hear what you’ve done, cycle the EQ correction on and off with a single push of the KEYLOC’s “KEY” button – hear the before and after! Additionally, if KEYLOC detects any all-pass filters or factory time delay, you can choose to defeat the correction (from the menu) and keep the imaging of the factory source unit. By keeping the correction filter active, KEYLOC will counteract either of these factory effects so you can use an external audio processor to dial in a one-seat tune for the ultimate sound experience.
Find The Frequency
News flash! Factory audio systems don’t always deliver a full-range signal on every speaker wire. This makes it tough to hook up an aftermarket amp and get the sound you wanted – until now.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- • Can I install this with my factory stereo?
Yes, it is designed to work with both factory and aftermarket head units. The built-in signal processing makes it easier to integrate with factory audio systems.
- • Why doesn't the automatic tuning seem to improve my sound?
The calibration microphone must be positioned correctly and the setup procedure completed without background noise. Running the auto setup again usually produces better results.
- • Does it provide enough power for aftermarket speakers?
Yes, it delivers significantly more power than most factory radios. It works well with many aftermarket coaxial and component speaker systems.
- • Why does it shut off while I'm listening to music?
This may be caused by overheating, incorrect wiring, or a speaker load below the supported impedance. Checking the installation and ensuring proper ventilation usually resolves the issue.
- • Can I add a subwoofer to my system later?
Yes, many owners pair this amplifier with a dedicated mono amplifier for a subwoofer. This allows you to expand your system while keeping the full-range speakers powered separately.
- • Why do I hear engine noise through my speakers?
Engine whine is usually caused by poor grounding or improper cable routing. Using a solid ground point and separating power cables from signal wires can reduce unwanted noise.
- • Can I use this for a subwoofer-only setup?
This is a 4-channel unit designed primarily for full-range speakers or a bi-amplified component setup rather than a dedicated subwoofer.
- • Why does the auto-tuning process sometimes fail or produce a harsh sound?
Calibration is highly sensitive to the volume level of the source unit during the test. If the results sound unnatural, try recalibrating at a slightly lower volume level until the process just barely completes with a success tone.
- • Is professional installation recommended for this amplifier?
Experienced DIY installers can complete the installation successfully with the proper tools. Professional installation is recommended if you're unfamiliar with vehicle wiring or amplifier tuning.
- • Does the unit require a remote turn-on wire from my stereo?
It features versatile turn-on modes, including DC Offset, which detects a signal directly from the speaker wires if your radio lacks a dedicated remote output. If using this mode, ensure your input is connected via high-level (speaker) wires.

Asked help to power up my Kicker KS 6x9 speakers in my truck and of their guys recommended me this little amp. I had some doubts due its small size but after the first time I listened to it, wow, its was way better than before. Its DSP feature also is really great made the sound quality improved more.
-
Never underestimate this small amp. It pushes great power to my 6.5-inch speakers, and they sound very well. Its built-in DSP improved my sound system's quality very much.
-
Using it on my F150 for 2 months now. Really good amplifier. Has some power and can push the stock speakers. Its built-in DSP is what makes it better above the rest. Gave me an easy time tuning everything.

As a birthday gift for myself, I bought an amp to power my front and rears with additional feats like DSP and I found it in the website. Really happy after I got installed in my F150. Sound quality is excellent, power is okay, but the DSP really makes it so much better as it enables tuning much easier with it.
