The DCP Series Custom Ported Enclosure delivers high power output and extension thought to be only possible with larger enclosures. The key is the precise tuning of the Alphasonik Subwoofer driver to the highly efficient slot port design. Built on a stamped steel basket that provides a sturdy platform in which the motor structure can maintain a solid position, properly vented in addition to the bumped and vented back plate to keep the motor structure cool, and a pressed paper cone with an inverted poly dust cap that are designed to be lightweight yet rigid enough to maintain its shape during higher excursion. The computer optimized bass reflex slot port wraps around two walls of the enclosure to produce the necessary low frequencies thus ensures excellent extension and frequency response. The flared port ends are designed to maximize performance and the internally cornered bracing reduces standing waves and reduces port noise. The DCP enclosure ships loaded, wired and ready to connect via the Spring-loaded nickel-plated terminals. The enclosure is built with durable 5/8” MDF construction and has a high grade black carpet with the original Alpha logo embroidered on it. Standing at just 5 inches width with a height of 11.5 and length of 19 inches, this heavyweight is definitely the underdog to bet your money on.
