Alpine  I509-WRA-JK

Let me start by saying I am not a car audio expert at all and have tinnitus, so take that into account regarding my opinion on sound quality. Originally my Jeep had the Uconnect 430N, which I upgraded to the Alpine ilx407, then to this unit. Features: This unit has an excellent array of features based not only my experience, but the dozen reviews from professional installers I watched before purchasing this unit. You get a variety of input/output options, great EQ functions from simple presets to a high level of customization, not to mention wired and wireless android/apple car apps are a godsend, especially considering how clunky UConnect is in a JK. The styling tailored specifically for the JK is such a nice aesthetic touch that I think it requires mentioning too. The physical buttons that the surround adds are also great after having the ilx407 with it's tiny buttons. The IP rating on the unit is also nice for offroaders or just when you get caught in a sudden rainstorm with the top off. The screen is responsive and very clear and easy to see. Sound: As I'm not super versed in audio, all I can really say is that it is so much better than the stock stereo in my jeep. Both music and call quality are a million times better. Also, the mic makes phone calls much much better for the person you are calling. Value: This is the tricky part. This thing is expensive. Ultra premium level expensive. However, I feel like you are getting what you pay for...for the most part. I upgraded from the Alpine ilx407 and I can't really say that this is $1500 better. So I will admit that this was a guilty pleasure, but I absolutely love it whereas I was just satisfied with the 407. Overall: This thing is amazing for the Jeep JK. It's an Alpine, so you know what you are getting in terms of quality. I think the 9 inch screen is the perfect size. You can get bigger screens from other companies, but I think they are overkill for this vehicle. The styling is also very, very nice in my opinon; far better than what the Heigh10 or the cheap Chinese Android tablets on Amazon have. Ultimately I recommend this for anyone that wants to splurge and already has the more important upgrades done on their JK.

An expensive upgrade but a premium upgrade indeed. Features are superb and sound quality is exceptional. Still learning some of them but I already got a good grasp of the basics with this receiver.

screen is pretty great to look at and has great size. sound quality is fantastic, and its other features are top-notch. I was used to Alpine receivers, and now that I have this ultimate receiver, you can really tell the difference of the receivers.
