Unit was installed into working 3-way system to replace older Audiobahn 3-way analog crossover. System has 3 Alpine amps totaling 1150 watts and is tri-amped - Lows, mids, highs or low as ass, band pass, high pass for true 3-way operation. Also changed out 2 amps with install. System has PDR-M65 for lows and 2 x MRV-F300 for mids and highs.
I have 10 years of Pro Audio experience and 35 years audio systems hobby experience. The installer at The Sound Works has 10-15 years experience. We powered system up and nothing running a Base Map I loaded into controller the previous evening. I have 4 x dbx DriveRackPA+ on my home audio system and am very familiar with both analog and digital crossovers. We struggled to get some sound going and after connecting up the remote control box it started playing. The manual says the remote box is optional, wrong it is needed or no sound when unit powers up. It was installed Friday afternoon and quit working Sunday evening.
Interface software is crappy, and shows .5 octave bandwidth on EQ filters to be wider than 4 octave bandwidth. The documentation is crappy and unit is junk.
Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.3 is ordered from Onlinecarstereo and on the way.
