JL Audio XD1000/5v2 is equipped with its in-house renowned features, such as the NexD Switching, which uses a self-oscillating modulator to help cancel out the noise that comes from the power supply voltage fluctuation. It also has Advanced Rollback Protection technology, which rolls back the amp's peak power output until its operating temperature goes down to safe levels, avoiding the unnecessary shutdown that comes with most amplifiers.
It is loaded with JL Audio's famous differential balanced inputs to protect the amplifier from induced cable noise that is typical of any car audio setup. JL Audio XD1000/5v2 can also automatically turn itself on after detecting a signal from its audio source.
The JL Audio XD1000/5v2 can handle a power output of 75 Watts RMS in its four channels and 400 Watts RMS in its subwoofer channel at 4 ohms. It can also deliver 100 Watts of RMS power output in its four channels and 600 Watts of RMS power in its mono subwoofer channel. I've owned this JL Audio amp and speakers for about 1 1/2 years now. Overall I'm very impressed with the amp. It has been nothing but reliable. It has great highs and mids with outstanding bass. I paired this amp with a JL Audio enclosed sub(HO 110W6V3) and JL Audio C2 650/650X speakers. The system flat out rocks. I was recommended this system by my friends at Pacific Stereo, and I'm glad I followed their advice. You can't go wrong with JL Audio, it's the best money I've spent on a system bar none, and I've had a few systems over the years. It's a bit pricey, but well worth the money folks!! The install looks completely factory except for the sub enclosure and the additional bass control knob mounted in the dash.
