Best multi channel amp I have ever had
-
This is one of Kenwood's cleanest sounding amps. With a S/N ratio of 110db, that's no surprise. It is also underrated power-wise relative to my experience with amps of similar ratings. I have had many Kenwood amps, from the 80's to recent models. I have a KAC-X20 right now because it's rated at 180 watts RMS /ch. However, as I recall, this X501F sounded better. In fact, I think I'm going to scoop one up when I get a chance. The high power of the X20 is killing my hearing as well as my tweeters. If I remember correctly, this X501F is rating 50 watts at 12 volts, 75 watts at 13.8. Trust me, though, for the stated rating this baby has room to breathe big time as far as power is concerned.
