Well where to start...... I was very surprised yesterday when I got these. Right away I installed them with my Alphasonik PMA-4150A and I was initially happy. Today I put them to the test and they passed flawlessly! I mean I really beat on them and they handled it! The crossovers are great! The design is 1st class! The 3" voice coil AWESOME! The titanium tweeters just incredible! Machined aluminum housings and even threaded tweeter baskets! I was very skeptical when shopping for my next set of component speakers and I am sure I made the perfect choice! I am replacing my BA Pro 6's with these and they blow them away period! I have had several pairs of different brands and these just have better quality. No high pitches with the tweeters, nice and smooth. I remember some of the old school Lanzar and then it was very good and now at least they have a very decent line-up. The Opti Drive line is very tough! And these babies are 250 RMS 500w max! I think my search is finally over and I am like a kid in a candy shop! Very Happy!
I was very impressed with this set. The mid bass is strong and the high are super crisp. The lanzar Opti line easily keeps up with sets that cost x3 more. These bad boys handle all the power you can throw at them!I am bridging an old school Lanzar 4150 on each side. Rated at 150rms but actually way more. I'm very very pleased.
run mine with 85rms,very impresive on volume and the sound quality is astonashing! they play crystal till my amp clipps. aint shure if they can realy take 250rms but they shure take my amp without a wimper, then ad what they cost and your talking sweeeeeet!
The specifications are "true" and don't lie. I bought one pair for my son at Xmas. At that time, I was skeptical since I never tried this brand before. To my surprise, these speakers blew away any other 6.5" component speakers I have heard (and I have tried MANY other quality brands). After listening to these, I would buy no other 6.5 component system. I have bought another set since for another install with phenominal results. I drive my speakers with amps that stand up to "True RMS" values. I have ran a 200w - 250w RMS per channel amp (Soundstorm and Pyle) with each pair and even on the peaks where my amps will push 400 - 450 watts, these babies do not distort. They remain clear, crisp and clean! These are indeed a great buy. They SMOKE my Alpine 6.75 component speakers which are advertised as "audiophile" quality! I paid over $300 for a pair of the Alpines when I could have got 2 pairs of better quality OPT16C's for less. Keep in mind, these gems are meant to be powered and if you can drive them up to their RMS rating, you won't be disappointed!
u need 2 power thes at least 80 rms can take 275 rms for a bit n they came with everything u need
Went to a car show today with my car and was asked about my stereo by 4 different people. They were shocked when I told them what I paid for the speakers, I've been using lanzar since 1990 and have not been unhappy. I've listened to all the " big name " speakers and I haven't heard any better for 4 times the price, Do yourself a favor and check them out. You wil be glad you did
Sounds great, high rms handling, good match for my 15" opti1532's. Looking to purchase another pair.
