For years, Brutus car amplifiers have been recognized the world over as some of the best subwoofer amplifiers in their class. Maxxsonics' newly designed Hifonics Brutus amplifiers are the most efficient and comprehensive Super D-Class series ever.
With the new vertical fin heat-sink design these amplifiers have better heat dissipation and therefore run more efficient resulting in less impact on a car’s battery and charging system than many other amps available today. Translated into cost, that’s more wattage output with less battery current used, equaling more watts per dollar.
As always, Brutus amps are 1-Ohm stable, but also run at 4- or 2-Ohms for a much tighter bass response, and it is no different for this new line up. For 2010 there are five models with power starting at 1200 Watts all the way up to 3000 Watts.
For SPL, nothing compares to the BRZ3000.1D Pro, which is built with Super D-Class grade microprocessors developed exclusively for SPL. In relying on this super-speed enhanced chip-set, it offers higher current capacities and more precise digital to analog conversion. The result is very low distortion, even at high listening levels. The amplifier is also battery stable up to 18 volts!

Wanna blow your eardrums? Buy this! Got it powering 2 Alpine Type R 15's at 4 ohms. You heard me, 4. Givin each sub 425 watts. I don't think humans can suffer much more than that. Us any audiophile will tell you at a higher impedence, the amp works less, resulting in longer life AND better SQ. Overall great, best amp I've ever bought.

very powerful amp dosent get hot. i opened mines to check out the guts and i liked what i seen very well built and beefy componets on the inside.dont mind the plastic end caps this amp is still verv heavy duty it weights about 25 pounds!!! i brought 2 of these and i am very satisfied both pushing 2 orion hcca subs one on each sub no joke i hear people say hifonics fell off but i guess for 2010 there back on and to all the hifonics hatersall of the 2010 amps are cea compliant keep up the good work maxxsonics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This amp is a BEAST!!!! i blew both of my kicker L7s on this amp and only had it hooked up for 3 hours. dont get me wrong the L7s were loud but they definetly cant handle the power of this amp if its at its max. but thats besides the point. My boy has 4 jvc 12's on a 4000 watt lancar and my system blew his out...get this amp..well worth the money.!

Great amp, this thing is powerful! Only thing is that it does not quite push out 2400w, but that wasn't really expected. I have it pushing two Soundstream T6-12's in a ported box of course, and it flexes my car a bit. The sound is nice, unfortunately my stock door speakers can not handle going as loud as the amp/subs can go. It pounds louder than any other system with two 12's I have ever heard, definately a great buy.

I havent tested this to see exactly what the output power is but its a nice strong amp. I have four 10" kenwood excelon subs in my avalanche and it sounds very nice. Now to stop the rattles.
