I purchased this subwoofer it plays loud and clean I have it powered by a MB Quart DSC 1500.1 is in a Atrend LSV 15 box. I like the subwoofer because it plays really deep from 28 Hertz and really loud and clear up to the 80 hz. I don't know how this subwoofer will perform a competition subs but it does play all types of music very well from dubstep to country to rap to rock all in all it is a great purchase for the money and you can not go wrong with it as long as you have a clean signal
